LIMESCALE REMOVAL
- To remove limescale from a shower head, pour white vinegar into a zip-lock bag and secure it to the shower head with a rubber band. Leave it for a few hours, then remove the bag and run the shower with hot water for a few minutes.
- If you can remove the shower head, soak it in a screw top jar filled with vinegar. Rinse.
- Fill the kettle with half vinegar and half water. Leave the mixture in the kettle for an hour - you can leave it for longer if you feel the kettle needs it. After this time pour the mixture out. If there's still limescale, wipe round with bicarbonate soda and a damp cloth, then rinse the inside of the kettle out several times until the smell of vinegar has vanished.

- To reduce the amount of limescale in the kettle, try to fill the kettle up through the sprout, if possible. Also, pour out any excess water from the kettle when you have finished using it. You can also purchase a kettle descaler, which is a steel mesh ball that collects limescale when placed in the kettle
LUGGAGE
- Do not fold your clothes. Roll them. This takes up less space to allow you to take more with you.
- Rolling your clothes also lessens the creases.
- Place a dryer sheet in the suitcase to keep it smelling nice.
- Don't put a tag on the outside displaying your name and address. This could help potential burglars as they will know that you are not at home.
- To help should your luggage get lost, though, place a sheet of paper on top of your clothing with your name, email address and telephone number on it. This will help to identify you to link you with your luggage.
